A little wiser...

So, my sister turned 40 this past weekend.  I thought the sentiment "...a little wiser" that is on a stamp with an owl was a little better than 'just' "Happy Birthday".  This card was made with the owl punch from Stampin' Up.  I LOVE that punch!!  I thought she'd like the colors, especially the metal looking background.  It was cool, shiny and has googly eyes, just like Anna! :)

Here's the bag that I made to coordinate with the card.  I used the whole stamp with the owl and the saying "...a little wiser".

Mom's Birthday Card

I found this card design in the upcoming Stampin' Up mini catalog.  I was flipping through it and saw the card and knew I had to recreate it for my mom's birthday.  I didn't have the stamp set, because it's a new one that isn't released yet.  I did, however, have stamps that were similar.  So, I cranked this one out.

Now for the coordinating gift bag...
Once upon a time, a genius invented the gift bag.  Hallelujah!  That person should get some type of award like a Nobel Peace Prize or something.  I have now taken the gift bag to a new level...personalizing it for the receiver.  I bought a stack of plain white bags and stamp on them.  This one was stamped with the birdcage stamp set that I also used on the card.

Long Time, No Sea

Clarence has been working in Virginia and I didn't get to see him for 7 days! He came home on Friday and I left to go visit my sister for her birthday. So, I didn't see him until Sunday. I left this little card (3.5x3.5) on his night stand.

Sophia Turns 3

Sophia, my niece, turns 3 on Friday, the 26th. I'm excited to give this card to her. She always asks about my cats, so I thought this cake toting cat was fun and appropriate for her birthday. (This cat kind of looks like Boxer, except he would never let you catch him walking on his hind legs like that.)

Uncle George's Card

I love this stamp set called "Lots Of 'Bots".  It works so well for manly cards and was super appropriate for this occasion.

This card was mailed to Clarence's Uncle George.  He was in a motorcycle accident a week and a half ago.  Thank goodness that he was not seriously injured and was home quickly to recover.  I hope this card will lift his spirits.

Aunt Maggie's Birthday (and Mom's Birthday too)

November 9th is my mom and Maggie's (my mom's twin) birthday. I made this card for Aunt Maggie. She doesn't check my blog, so it's okay to post her's early. :) My mom on the other hand is my most dedicated blog follower and commenter, so I cannot post a picture of her card until after she receives it.

Aunt Maggie loves butterflies, pink and flowers. I think this card covers ALL the bases. I even added a little bling and 'happy birthday' at the bottom right.

Spooky Cemetery

There's a cemetery in our front yard.  It's soooo spooky that residents only showed up in our yard this October and I heard whispers that they'll be leaving real soon.  I have a feeling that there may be more residents next year.  Clarence cut the tombstones, then I painted and decorated them.  (Maybe this is what we'll do in retirement.  We'll make yard ornaments and plant hangers and stuff.)
